INTRO to WATERCOLOR PENCILS!!! Arvada Center for the Arts

Spend 4 weeks with watercolor pencils! Watercolor pencils combine the ease of using a pencil while painting. Multiple watercolor pencil techniques will be explored. Artists will complete three paintings over the 4 week class.

WEEKLY WATERCOLOR! Arvada Center

PAINT what YOU want to paint in this FUN 4 week class! Students will work individually on their own watercolor paintings. Instruction on all aspects of the painting process, drawing, color mixing, composition, watercolor techniques and more. Students new to watercolor will paint a landscape step by step with Pam at the first class. Class is for beginner to advanced painters. Supply list will be emailed.

INTRO to PORTRAITS in WATERCOLOR! Foothills Art Center

Learn the basics of painting the human face in watercolor in this four week class. Students are given step by step instruction on anatomy, drawing and painting the human face. Features of the face such as eye, nose and lips are drawn and then painted. Proportion and proper placement of features are emphasized. Multiple watercolor techniques and color mixing strategies are utilized. In addition to being an artist, Pam is also a physician and uses her expertise of anatomy to create beautiful portraits.

COLOR and VALUES in WATERCOLOR! Arvada Center

This 4 week class is for artists wanting to learn more about color and values in watercolor. Knowing more about color, mixing and the properties of watercolor paint will help you create beautiful watercolors and get rid of that mud!! Learn more about painting the lights and darks in watercolor. Values (lights and darks) play a vital role in a good painting. Stop struggling and take your paintings to the next level in this fun class!

WINTER 2025 CLASSES ONLINE

SKIES and CLOUDS in WATERCOLOR! Online via ZOOM

This 4 week online class will delve into our beautiful sky! Stormy skies, blue skies, sunset and sunrise skies in watercolor! Cloud types and cloud perspective will be covered. Students will complete 3 small paintings in this class. Take your landscapes to the next level with beautiful skies!

All classes will be recorded. Students will have access to all recordings for 45 days after last class in session.
