INTRO to PORTRAITS in WATERCOLOR! Foothills Art Center

Learn the basics of painting the human face in watercolor in this four week class. Students are given step by step instruction on anatomy, drawing and painting the human face. Features of the face such as eye, nose and lips are drawn and then painted. Proportion and proper placement of features are emphasized. Multiple watercolor techniques and color mixing strategies are utilized. In addition to being an artist, Pam is also a physician and uses her expertise of anatomy to create beautiful portraits.

COLOR and VALUES in WATERCOLOR! Arvada Center

This 4 week class is for artists wanting to learn more about color and values in watercolor. Knowing more about color, mixing and the properties of watercolor paint will help you create beautiful watercolors and get rid of that mud!! Learn more about painting the lights and darks in watercolor. Values (lights and darks) play a vital role in a good painting. Stop struggling and take your paintings to the next level in this fun class!

In 4 Seasons/4 Paintings, you will spend 4 weeks painting beautiful Colorado landscapes in watercolor. Each week will focus on a different season. Multiple watercolor techniques and strategies will be explored. Students will complete 4 paintings in this fun class!

SPRING 2025 CLASSES

WATERCOLOR, PAINT what YOU want to Paint! Art Students League Denver

PAINT what YOU want to paint in this FUN 4 week class! Students will work individually on their own watercolor paintings. Instruction on all aspects of the painting process, drawing, color mixing, composition, watercolor techniques and more. Class is for beginner to advanced painters. Students must bring photos and reference materials for their paintings. Some watercolor experience is helpful.

INTRO to DRAWING ! Arvada Center

Learn the fundamentals of drawing in this fun 5 week class! Drawing with shapes, shadows, values and proportion will be emphasized. Students will also learn how to draw with a grid. Drawing with one and two point perspective will be covered.

Good drawing skills and fundamentals will make you a BETTER ARTIST!

Spend 4 weeks learning how to use watercolor pencils! Watercolor pencils combine the ease of using a pencil while painting. Multiple watercolor pencil techniques will be explored. Artists will complete 3 paintings during the 4 week class.
